ACROSS – Egypt March 2003 Team:[1] Canon Kuan Kim Seng (St John’s Chapel) [2] Dr Michael Lim (St James’ Church) Background: Sudan was facing a severe drought, forcing many of the Sudanese to cross the border into Egypt. The Diocese of Egypt requested assistance from the Diocese of Singapore to help the Sudanese refugees.
Financial assistance was given to the Diocese of Egypt to augment their relief help to the refugees. |
